Breathability
Softshell fabric is highly breathable. The RET value measures a fabric’s moisture permeability, with lower values indicating better breathability.
Water resistance
Softshell fabric is water-repellent due to a DWR impregnation layer. The impermeability of a fabric is measured in millimeters, with fabrics offering excellent water resistance above 5000 millimeters.
